Off-road driving can cause extensive damage to the natural habitat.
Most Wildlife areas have a speed limit of 40Kph – and animals always have the right of way!
Wild animals become distressed when they are surrounded by several vehicles or vehicles come too close to them. Keep the noise to a minimum and never try to attract an animal’s attention.
Do not stand on the roof or hang out of the windows and only leave your vehicle when in safe designated areas. Remember: Wild Animals can be dangerous.
Feeding wild animals can upset their diet and lead to unnatural dependence upon people.
Do not purchase, collect or remove any animal products, rocks, plants, seeds or bird’s nests from the wild. Or alter the natural environment in any way.
Litter and garbage is very dangerous to wild animals. Keep all litter with you and be extremely careful with cigarettes and matches and all other inflammable materials that can cause major bush fires.
Be a respectful teacher of the surroundings at each destination with special focus on the community - their values of hospitality, cultural beliefs and their relationship with their environment.
